Sarracenia 'Judith Hindle' is a cultivar selected for its vibrant colors and vigorous growth. It is a complex cross consisting of (leucophylla x flava) x purpurea, which also explains its unique shape. The cross for this pitcher plant was made in 1985 in the United Kingdom by Alan Hindle, and the plant was officially registered in 1993. Many years later, this trumpet pitcher plant is still one of the most popular carnivorous plants. When the pitchers of this carnivorous plant first open, they are mostly white, but after some sun, they turn a beautiful dark pink to red with white windows.
