Sarracenia alata
Sarracenia alata is a carnivorous plant known for its incredibly fast growth. This pitcher plant typically grows between 60 cm and 120 cm tall. The plant blooms in spring, and its flowers are a creamy white to yellow color. This pitcher plant produces almost exclusively carnivorous pitchers and no winter leaves. This species of carnivorous plant exhibits a huge variety, from entirely green plants to almost black plants, and from fully veined plants to those with almost no veins. Six varieties have been described: var. alata, var. atrorubra, var. cuprea, var. nigropurpurea, var. ornata, and var. rubrioperculata.
The plants are shipped bare-root. These are single growth points that can flower next year (mature).
