Indoor beginner plants
These carnivorous plants are not winter-hardy and do not go into dormancy; they can be kept indoors all year round. Sundew species (Drosera) can tolerate bright sun, for example, directly in front of a south-facing window. Sundews are ideal for catching small flying insects indoors, for instance. Tropical pitcher plants (Nepenthes) thrive in a bright spot with indirect light. Tropical pitcher plants prefer high humidity, making them excellent for a terrarium.
