Butterwort

Mexican Pinguiculas (butterworts) are exceptional because they are one of the only carnivorous plants that grow easily indoors with little direct light. Unlike Venus flytraps or Sarracenias, they don't need much light; a regular window is sufficient. In fact, they even prefer less direct sunlight.

The plant catches insects from the air with sticky leaves. Small, compact, fascinating. Perfect if you live in an apartment or have little direct light. They like humid conditions and grow somewhat slower, so you don't have to constantly adjust them. Not much maintenance, not much space needed, not much light. That makes the butterwort an ideal easy houseplant.
