The moorei cross between Leah Wilkerson and Adrian Slack has been serving as basic breeding material for at least ten years. M. Srba from the Czech Republic has made a unique selection from this widely produced cross, featuring a special shape!

What makes it special? It's primarily the striking combination of shape and color that stands out immediately. The pitchers have that classic moorei white, but with a strong, pronounced red coloration in the throat that is more intense and defined than many standard moorei's. The shape is also characteristic, noticeable and distinct, yet truly different from other offspring of this cross.

Characteristics:

• Height/Size: Large, impressive pitchers, 70-80cm+ as expected from moorei.
• Appearance: Bright white with a strong, defined red blotch. Striking, characteristic shape that is immediately distinctive.
• Growth habit: Typical hybrid vigor.
  Care requirements: As much direct sunlight as possible; that really brings out the red and white color. Standard Sarracenia care outdoors or in a cold greenhouse.
• Hardy: Can be kept outdoors with proper preparation.
  A plant that proves that even with classic, well-known crosses, refinement is still possible. Not revolutionary, but truly good work from someone who knows what they're doing.
