Many visitors to my greenhouse always asked to buy some of my Sarracenia flava var. atropurpurea collection plants, which mainly originated from Miroslav Srba. Therefore, I grew out a lot of seeds from different atropurpureas from Srba. More than 500 plants were grown to adulthood and then a selection of only red plants was made. This is the result!
Must be grown in full sun to achieve really red colours. In Northern climates, a greenhouse is also preferred to achieve the best colours. Nevertheless, these atropurpureas were selected in Belgium and in my opinion, colour up a bit easier than many other atropurpureas.
