Do you want to give your carnivorous plants a good start? Then add perlite to your substrate! Perlite is a natural, puffed volcanic glass that acts as the 'lungs' of your soil mixture. It is completely inert, but does wonders for the long-term structure.

Why add Perlite?

• Long-term health: Although many carnivorous plants can grow in pure peat, peat tends to compact or become dense over time. Especially if your plants remain in the same pot for a longer period, perlite ensures that the soil remains airy and does not 'compact'.
• Grower quality: We also use this perlite ourselves in our own nursery. It is RHP-certified, which means it meets the strictest requirements for professional horticulture. So you are getting real professional quality!
• Optimal drainage: It prevents roots from suffocating due to a lack of oxygen, even in very moist soil.

⚠️ Grower's tip:
Perlite is bone dry and may contain fine dust. Do not inhale this! Moisten the perlite in the bag a little before use, or wear a face mask while mixing. This way, you keep repotting safe and dust-free.
